Media Arts Alliance of the Pacific

MAAP is a non-profit arts service organization dedicated to promoting media arts in the Pacific region, particularly the contributions of Indigenous artists.

We are a community of media arts professionals and media artists across British Columbia and The Yukon working together to improve the conditions for media art creation and presentation in our region.

MAAP is both a conduit for connection and a unified voice representing our sector. Our work is to build capacity for member artists and organizations by promoting the art form and advocating for greater access to funding, resources, and improved conditions of work so they can create work that fascinates, provokes, moves, and reflects us in all of our humanity.

Media arts in British Columbia and The Yukon are advanced through strengthened connections, increased public awareness, and improved capacity. MAAP builds a diverse, equitable, and sustainable media arts community in the Pacific region and contributes to a vibrant national and international arts sector.
